my son in law did a scavenger hung type of deal for my daughter and she was very touched, he had little love notes in each envelope and things he wished he could give her and would someday give her. I was touched as well. (they have been married 18 yrs now and I truly believe he has given her all of them by now as he is sooooooo good to her) one was a trip to Hawaii and Mexico and they have been........................

Think Mission Impossible. You will need the help of several people, but when you tell them the plan they will love it and will jump at the chance to help you out. Plan a romantic dinner for the two of you at your place, but don't tell her about it. In order to pull this off you need to get her out of the house, this is where it becomes fun. Give her a letter with a mission impossible assignment. The letter should contain clues to where she can find the next clue and so on. Send her to the mall, to a high end store to a certain cosmetics counter where she has to contact a certain person, that person will give her a full makeup makeover and her next clue. The next clue can lead her to a different store to the perfume counter where her next contact can spray her down in her favorite perfume and give her the next clue. The next clue can lead her to the dry cleaners where her favorite or your favorite dress on her can be waiting for her with her next clue. That clue can lead her to a florist shop that can have a single red rose waiting for her and allow her to dress in the bathroom. The final clue should lead her back home. This wild goose chase will give you ample time to prepare a great meal and have all the candles lit by the time she arrives. Set it up at least the day before, have everything ready to start the preparations for cooking before she leaves (no last minute shopping once she's off and running). The excitment of the mission, the great clues, and the wonderful surprise when she gets home will cause her to swoon for sure. I had someone do this for me once and I still talk about it. It was great! The missions are only an idea, you can choose a ton of different places to have her go...just make sure that she isn't running all over town, you don't want her stressed out by the time she gets home. Good luck.

I have done these in the past:
1. Hide a lot of " I O U coupons" around the house
2. Lots of hidden words of affirmation
3. Make a scavenger hunt with dollar store toys
4. Make some adventure that involves her and her friends figuring out clues
5. Make roses from paper napkins
Whatever you do, make it something she has to play work for, they will like it that much better! Also, you can get books on this for a couple bucks which will have thousands of ideas!@

I say you guys don't have to do anything. Just spend time together that day. Go for a walk in the park and pack a picnic lunch - something along those lines. Or, see if there are any free community events that interest you.

take a bunch of photos of the two of you... make a fun collage using a computer program (adobe or something) sometimes a word document works, but in Adobe you can do alot of fun things... anyways, when you get it to what you want it to look like... print it on a nice photo paper...
then glue the entire page on foam board, then lightly trace a puzzle on it... then cut it out very carefully with an exacto blade or something like one... and get a cute wooden box (you can find inexpensive ones at craft stores) that is big enough to fit the "love puzzle" in... you can paint the box, or decorate it ... I did this for my boyfriend, and he loved it too... so its good for a girl or guy :) i loved it so much too, and wanted one myself that we then made another one together for me later in the relationship.... but yeah ... :)
