According to the Greeks, originally humans were combined of 4 arms, 4 legs, and a single head made of 2 faces, but Zeus feared their power and split them all in half, condemning them to spending their lives searching for the other half to complete them.
Even then there was a belief that for everyone there only was a certain person that could be a perfect match...I believe that in certain stages of your life, depending on your growth and maturity you will be interested in different kinds of people, and that sometimes you find one person with whom you can grow and look in the same direction, but sometimes you think you have it right and you don't.
The heart heals, just give yours a chance, learn from your experience and be willing to expand your horizons.
Your ex will always be a part of you because there are things you learned about life and yourself thanks to him, things didn't work out for a reason, now is your time to heal and mourn over this loss.
I'm sure you will be on your feet again, just give yourself a chance.

i am sorry to hear that your marriage has ended. i don't know how many loves each of us have in life, but i cannot believe that your love would be so tied to a single person you can no longer share your life with. that is too depressing.

we love because we must. you will love again if you can, there are no rules for steering hearts together or apart. it is something you can choose, though it will still be hard. but i cannot believe that something so necessary as love can be destroyed by one partner for both. you must find another person to pin it to... they are out there if you look.

I know how you feel. I think we have mupltiple soulmates and we just need to find one of them. If you and him aren't getting back together, I'm sure you'll find another. Things always get better.

No, I think we have many loves throughout our lives - we're with different people at different times for different reasons.

Watch the movie 'Shopgirl' and listen to what is said at the end of the movie...that will answer your question. To answer your question: I surely don't.

Yes, there is only one.

Let me know when you find him...Mine is probably with him drinking together at the bar.
