I am in absolute disbelief, I began watching the crocodile hunter when they were first aired and have been a huge fan. Even tried to get the job they offered at Australia Zoo. He has been a great influence in my life. I will miss that energy that he brought to the screen and to the animal world.

He took risks, but that's the life he wanted.

I feel awful for his family.

I am affected by his death a lot more than I would have said if you had asked me before all this happened. I'm surprised myself. I liked his shows and appearances with Jay Leno. He seemed naturally enthusiastic about nature, and worked hard to save animals. I remember him crying when a croc could not be saved. No, it was not faked.

I suppose it's not a surprise he died in a "nature accident," but I feel cheated out of a decade or two more of his knowledge, etc.

Apparently millions around the world feel the same.

He may have had faults, but insincerity and mean-spiritedness did not appear to be among them. He made lots of people happy, and didn't hurt anyone. Who could ask for a better life, or legacy?

God bless him.

Yeah it is pretty sad, no one ever deserves to die even if they are a really bad criminal, but that guy was a cool person, and he gave alot of happiness to some people, now he is resting in peace. Don't think to hard about it, just tell yourself he is in a better place now!

I was sad too when I saw the news. The people who say he deserved to die are just morons. No one deserves to die! Especially doing something they love.

I don't think he deserved to die but I always thought that it was only a matter of time. I thought that he would either get bitten by a snake or by a crocodile instead. He lived a pretty dangerous lifestyle don't you think?
