IF you have enough will power, you can certainly accomplish it. The most healthy way to lose weight AND KEEP it off is by about a pound a week, but in my opinion, you can do more than that.

For starters, WATCH WHAT YOU EAT. I know, DUH! But seriously, stay away from carbs, and watch how many calories go into your system. DO NOT snack! Just eat a small healthy meal at regular times.

Running is the best way to lost weight and get fit as well. See how long it takes you to run a 5K, and try to improve on that time. See how much you can comfortably run. Since you've just had a baby, that shouldn't be that much, but I think a good work out of mostly jogging, maybe a little walking, for two periods of 20 minutes with a short water break in between is a good start.

The main thing is to PUSH YOURSELF. You have to want to lose that weight, you have to be dedicated to your diet and to your running. I would seriously get a pal to run with you and diet with you so you have an obligation to that person that you won't let down.

Your body is still adjusting its internal chemicals from making a baby. That means your insulin production may still be above normal, making your body want to pack food in cells. Any diet that lowers insulin production should help. The library link at www.hufa.org has the names of a few. Anerobic exercise and protein help produce the chemical that balances insulin (glucagon), and carbohydrates help insulin over produce.

After breast-feeding, my wife used Relacore for belly-fat reduction and Lipodrene to suppress appetite and increase metabolism. She looks better now, than before she was pregnant.
