I know for a factoid that walmart has cameras in the fitting room. I have been in the security office before and have seen tapes of of people in the dressing rooms and bathrooms. Next time you go into a walmart bathroom, look up at all the sprinklers, those are cameras. Dressing rooms cameras are usually behind the mirror.

Ive seen them in Dillards, JB White and JC penney dressing rooms as well.

Its legal because its private property, they can stick a camera anywhere.

There are not suppose to be...but in some cases there are. There is a JCPenny in my town that had a string of theft occur by way of changing into the new clothes in the dressing room and simply walking out of the store, because of this they have petitioned and have been granted the right to have cameras in their fitting rooms. They are required to inform their customers, and have notices on the fitting room doors.

No, I don't think it's legal to put cameras in fitting rooms or bathrooms. Maybe.

By law no.

There are cameras that face the entrance to changing rooms, but none where you change.
