There are all kinds of crazy methods for ridding a lawn of moles and most of them don't work, and a few can even be dangerous. Best advice is to do a Yahoo search for "mole control" (include the quotation marks in the search box) yields 73,800 results. If you do the same search, and are willing to spend a little time exploring, I'm sure that you will quickly find lots of practical and useful information.
Good luck with your search.

If there isn't a raised tunnel near the holes (made by the mole tunneling along) then they are not mole holes. If they are caused by moles there is a spring loaded trap that you can get which sits above a tunnel you pressed down gently. When the mole comes along again and raises the tunnel top the trap springs a small pitchfork down and kills it.
What else there might be in the southeast that makes holes in the ground I have no idea (lizards, snakes, ground squirrels, maybe).

Moles only go where there is food. The food they eat is grubs. have you noticed your grass coming up in clumps like sod? That is the grubs eating the grass roots. Get rid of the grubs and you get rid of the moles. Ortho makes a product called grubex or mole b gone. You can get it at any garden center. To aggravate the moles you can drop some moth balls into their holes in different spots. Don't waste money on traps. Just get rid of their food and all will be well. Good Luck.

Insecticide could be used if it is mole. Mole tunnels show up, they tunnel under to get to grub Worms. Just hole could be some other things. Those other things can be sprayed out also. Mole also will leave dead grass where it destroys the roots of the grass to get to the Worms. In the spring you see tunnel and then those become dead grass tracks.
Trick is to find what it is and apply the proper insecticide herbicide.
You said it yellow jacket nest, quacks like a duck ,walks like a duct it is a duck.

Moles are hard to get rid of. Are you squeamish? You could try trapping them and setting them free elsewhere, but that does not always help. My husband prefers more violent methods. There is a kind of trap which spears poor ol' mole in his little mole hole, and that is more his style. After using this method for a while, you should be mole-free.
Unfortunately, this is not very nice to poor ol' mole.
Hope you get a more satisfactory answer!

Moles eat grubs, apply a pesticide to treat your grub problem and the moles will go away too. Works every time. Don't go running around with a pitch fork it won't work and you'll scare the nieghbors

If the healthcare professional is inclined to function within the germ-ridden stipulations of your entrance backyard he's going to surely burn it off with a laser or freeze it like venereal warts. Just pour tequila over it and dig it out with a Bowie knife. LOL-(sorry-a little overtired & goofy this night)
