My grandfather says that people don't listen unless they are yelled at...he is not a easy man to live with.

I don't know if I would say yell, but my husband seems to think he needs to raise his voice to get a point across. For example: I will mess with his ears or his hair or something and if I don't stop after the first time he tells me to stop, he will raise his voice and say it with 'authority'. Why he does it I don't know, I'm not 5.

Yelling at me is NOT allowed. I always keep my lips sealed while they are speaking. If someone's voice is raised too high, I ask them to collect themselves, and start over.
