God I hope so. I would'nt want to see even more power put in the hands of the presidency. This is a United "States" after all, not a dictatorship. Besides, who wants to see us wasting our money on Iraq to the tune of 300 billion. Oh and I almost forgot, only 1% of the population actually benifited from the so-called tax cuts so I should hope people see they got screwed to make a select few even richer. Did I forget to mention that the current leadership destroyed our international relations with most countries? We really need a president who can speak English like it was his first language and a government that is willing to put some money into education and infrastructure. And why is the most highly educated state in the union and one of the wealthiest the only one to ratify gay marriage?(Massachusetts) Who cares if gays get married? Is it any of your business? Why is it that all the red states are the least educated and for the most part, the poorest? Is it because after actually analyzing some hard data, thats what you have to do when go to college you know, people actually learn that its the Republican party that has expanded the government every time they are in power? Or is it because learned people recognize bad fiscal and international policy? That learnin' sure is dangerous. Before you make crazy comments, DIG DEEPER.

It's funny how this country has taken a huge nose dive since the Republican Party has been in charge. The economy is always better under Democratic leadership. The bottom line. If the Democrats do win, they can't do a worse job than the Bush administration has already done. Way to go!

Yes. The reason is that people realize that Democrats have learned the security lession from 9/11, which was their one legitimate weak point in 2000. There are no significant weaknesses in the democratic platform and the last 6 years has proven that Republicans can't govern. For Gods sake they can't even get an immigration bill passed and it's their supporters top issue!

...Democrats, I think you mean. And I'm not sure...the Republicans have alot of valuable friends in high positions...it would be difficult for the Democrats to rise against all the political hate that they have been suffering against...so who can say?

True, and I think we are just going to have to wait and see. It's like I hope, and don't hope, that Bush f's up again. Maybe people will see the way it is. But I am just trying to stay hopeful rather than logical.

Yes. I have nightmares about it. Think about Ted Kennedy and Hillary Clinton deciding how Americans have to live their lives.

... they have many seats right now... if it was such a "minority", as you say, they shouldn't have that many...
I guess you think you can scare people with all of your "they are pure evil talk"...but I don't think the American people are as stupid as you think they are...
I could easily say the Republicans are fascist warmongers that have no concern with the security of our nation... but then again, I don't think that the people are stupid enough to believe that kind of propaganda....

I am a Democrat and I can only say that if we do not win at least one of the houses then our party is practically dead. We are not facing John Kennedy, we are facing George Bush the worst president in history. If Americans cant see that and vote Democratic then we are dead in the water and this country will keep going down the drain.
