Which is better, the new iPod Nano, or the old one?

I'm planning on buying a 4G, just wondering if anyone has experience and compare. This will be my first mp3 player.

i hate ipods altogether, but the new ones will be better because they will be more durable, longer battery life, brighter screeen, etc.

The new one is better because it will have a longer lasting battery in it. And the cool new thing is it comes in different colors!!
