Let's see: Fingernails down the chalkboard ranks up there, as does the barking of one of those tiny yap-dogs like Schnauzers. Oh, wait a minute...the #1 most annoying sound in the world has GOT to be those @$$holes listening to rap in their cars with their ghetto-thumpers turned up so loud that you can hear them half a mile away.

Let me tell you after being in the sculpture shop for 3 hours it is definately the sound power tools make when they're cutting wood...especially a table saw.

the sound of whining by people, usually about motorcycle engines and exhaust. that truely is the most annoying sound on earth.

Distorted bass-thumping radios played at indecent decibels. I often wish that noise was always followed by a gunshot.
