I have just been on th BA website and they don't list food as a prohibited or banned item. I know that my sister travels regularly to Alicante to see friends and they ask her to take British food across. She phoned the airline to confirm and I know that on a regular basis she has taken Asda curry's, party snacks( scotch eggs etc) My advice is to phone the airline and enjoy your trip.

Why don't you call the airline instead of relying on the silly info here?

Why do you need to take food, its not long haul? there are better places to eat at the airports either side..
