If the US could have,don't you think we would have bought Iraq before Desert Storm?I'm pretty sure we would have purchased Iraq just to control the majority of oil resources!!

If we bought Iraq, the money would have gone to the Iraqis at least. Instead, now it just ends up in the hands of Dubya and ***** friends who are making the bombs and tanks.

No, Iraq wasn't for sale, and no, Saudia Arabia is the largest supplier of oil in the world, they own US, what is there to deal with them about?

300 billion for that hellish piece of land sounds steep. We probably could have gotten it for less if we haggled a bit. If we gave every Iraqi the 10k+ that we have spent on them average I wonder if they would all move someplace else and let us keep the land for the oil and what else does Iraq have?

You are really on to something. Since everybody seems to think this is about oil, I think we should definitely kick their *** and take their gas. We could just buy them and then clean a little house......unfortunately, things don't work that way in the grown-up world.
