Zod really is going to be on Smallville next season. Do a search for the word smallville. The show is still listed on WB though it is now CW. There is also a place called kryptonsite. They have good information about the season.

Yes the character of Zod possessed the body of Lex Luthor. But if you are asking if it is going to be the same guy from the movies.. no. But as a quirky tidbit, Terrance Stamp, the actor that embodied General Zod in the Superman films, is the voice of Jor El on Smallville.

I thought he was already there. I thought the last episode made it clear that Zod and inhabited Lex Luthor's body.
