Is there any way I should be sleeping, Positions I mean. I just found out I was pregnant and I thought I heard women who are pg shouldn't sleep a certain way. Any one know or is it safe to sleep on back, sides, or however. I guess the stomach would be bad though♥ Thanks. No rude or ignorant ?'s please.

I was put on complete bed rest at 6 months. Thats a LOT of time in the bed!! lol My ob/gyn told me the best way to sleep was on my left side, not back or right side bc it decreases blood flow to the placenta. If u wake up during the night and find yourself in a different position, no biggee, just roll back to the left side! Also, a little helpful hint that saved me-BODY PILLOWS!! You can squeeze and contort in any way to make it more comfortable for you! The support it provides for your belly as the pregnancy advances is great!!

YOu can sleep however you are comfortable with. I slept on my stomach all the way until I gave birth. They say that you should avoid sleeping on your back when you start getting bigger because the baby can press down against an artery or nerve on your back and that can be harmful to you but other than that right now you can sleep however you wish. You also might find that it helps to sleep with a pillow tucked between your legs or under your stomach! Congradulations on your new baby!

Definately not your stomach. They say your left side is the best position, but it's ok to alternate to the right as well. On your back is a difficult position as you go further into your pregnancy-i am 6 months-as it puts pressure on blood flowing to your heart. It's comfortable to sleep on your side with a pillow inbetween your legs, or a body or pregnancy pillow helps too.

Hope this helps.

You shouldn't sleep on your stomach once you are showing and it becomes uncomfortable. I think it also compresses the baby. The best position is the left side because that's were the major arteries are that goes to the placenta. I, however, could not sleep on my left side because it hurt. I worried, but if I were going to sleep, I couldn't sleep on that side and everything was fine. I think these are only good suggestions if you can do it. Congratulations!

early on it doesn't matter but as you grow you will want to sleep on your side because the stomach will be out of the question and flat on your back is not good because it puts pressure on a nerve in the spine and can make you dizzy and it interferes with circulation to the baby. i doubt it will hurt the baby but it is not recommended in the books i have read. the best way to sleep is on your side with a pillow between your knees to relieve pressure on the back, also you can put a pillow under your belly for extra support. congrats and happy pushing.

I asked my doc the same question, I'm 4 1/2 months pregnant and this is what she told me at 13 weeks. She said sleeping on your back is completely fine until you start to feel uncomfortable ( i still sleep on my back at times), you can sleep on your stomach if your not feeling pain, the best way was to sleep on your left side when your futher along. I hope this helps!

doctors recommend to not sleep on ur back becuase the blood doesnt circulate to the baby the way it should be or something like that. I would sleep on my stomach for like the first 6 weeks of my pregnancy--i didnt know i was prego though. But try sleeping on ur sides--and if its hard for you put a pillow behind u that way u wont roll over all the way on ur back.
also try putting a pillow between ur legs it helps and its comfortable.

properly provided that they are in mattress at 9:00 i will say no that your no longer harming them. 9:00 is a life like time for a toddler, my 8 twelve months previous is going to mattress at 9:00 on college nights yet i do no longer set a bedtime on the weekends. whether my 5 month previous is going to mattress around 7:30- 8:00 each and every evening. i think of the extra youthful they are the extra sleep they choose

No certain way. As your stomach gets bigger, there's certain positions which are more comfortable, that's all. And when you're REALLY big, those tips and hints can help. ie..pillow between your knees. Congrats, btw..health to you both!

Yes, you should try sleeping on your side, it improves circulation and therefore it will help your baby to get enough nutrients from your blood flow, and would be easier for your back during third trimester. Get a soft large pillow to help you get comfy. Good luck and congratulations!
