It's definitely possible for him to hit 5 homers, but will he be able to put himself ( or will his manager be able to put him ) in the position to be able to steal 10 bases in 12 games. That's the toughie! If he is able to do it what a feat that would be, and could it be one of baseball's hardest records to break if he's able to accomplish it?

Not sure if he has enough games to do it...he could get on a hot streak, but to steal 10 bases over the course of 12 games might be much.

Soriano is not a great "disciplined" hitter...he doesn't take many walks, and is not really a singles hitter. He has an outside shot to hit 5 more HR's over the 12 games...but every time he hits a HR, he can't steal a base.

I think he could be the first 45/45 guy...but not 50/50.

he has a shot, its not impossible but very unlikely. A more realistic goal is 50/40 which nobody as has done. If he wouldnt have been thrown out three times between steal 39 and steal 40, it would be a very interesting last two weeks for him. I love fonsy so i wish him the best.

No. he will hit 5 more home runs in those 12 games left, stealing 10 bags is going to the tough one! I say NO!

I wish, im a big fonsie fan...but i dont think he can. If he walked more often, then he would steal more...but he hits too many doubles and HR's. But his team is out of the race, so if i were him, i would steal every chance. Try for second and third every time he gets a single or BB. Who cares if he gets thrown out..im sure his teamates would root for him to give it a shot anyways!

Honestly, I don't think he has enought time to accumulate all those numbers. Perhaps the homeruns, but the steals are stretching it a bit.

Great year for him though. Rum Shots to Soriano!

Odds are against him cuz that would be a stolen base a game almost and a Homer every two games.

but if he gets a Hot Streak he could, depends on oposing teams and pitchers too.

Not many have done 40/40. And no one but Soriano has 40/40/20 (assists).

And yes.

no - he's not going to break his neck down the stretch during a season that doesn't mean anything to him or the Nats - the Nats are going to play the kids more since the rosters were expanded this month - he's a fantastic player, though - wish the Dodgers had gotten him

a few years ago he came short of the 40/40 club. Now that he's in it he'll probably have trouble hitting the homeruns more than getting the SB's
