They should definitely be reduced in schools. The companies donating them should be asked to only donate 5 per year and give the rest to the school in cash for standard education.

Not in every classroom. I don't think the students need another distraction. Teachers would go insane. They would have to lock them down to prevent surfing while the teachers were speaking.
However, for certain classes it makes sense. If you have a typing class or a computer class, computers make sense. I still believe they should be locked down so students can't be surfing around while the teacher is teaching.
I would definitely agree with having computers available students outside of the classroom. I think the high school library should have at least a few computers (depending on school size) available for student research.

I think it's an extremely valuable tool for those who know where and how to look for *reliable* information, but I'm not sure that it's necessary to have it available in every classroom. Surely, in this age of electronic media, there should at least be a "bank" of computers in the school library with access to the internet.

i'd have to say no because, if I had the internet in some of the classes that I had back in highschool then I'd just be ******* around on it and that's the truth because what am i doing now is what i'd probably be doing back then hehehe

I don't think it should.. If it was then the kids won't learn anythong. They would be too busy looking up music and sending messages all day.
