Deforestation is the technical term for the cutting down of forests. This on a large scale could have duisasterous affects on the earths climate and on Humanity. An exammple of deforestaton is the cutting down of the Amazon

Deforestation is the end result of widespread harvesting of timber in a given area of land. When trees are taken with no plan implemented to replant new trees, the area is left barren - with "no forest." Seeing photographs of such areas can often give the impression of a "moonscape." Leaving the areas deforested will leave to erosion of topsoil, which further makes recovery of the ecosystem that much harder.

deforestation is the cutting down of trees in larger amount or quantities.it is usually caused by timber workers.this is because,there is more demand for furniture by nations and the world as a whole which cannot be denied by the timber constructers since timber is also a source of income in most nation.trees that are being cut are used as wood fuel in most poor countries.if not checked results in dersertification.with this,the soil is exposed to the sun and the nutrient in the soil gets baked leaving it with no nutrient at all to replant.
