This is actually real honest advice and came from my friend in Sweden, where apparently they are, ahem, 'badgered' by badgers. He was advised to put lots of leaves in a pile, spread around the garden and actually urinate over them (the leaves, that is).

It's something to do with the scent and marking of territory, that wards off the badgers.

I know this sounds a little far fetched but he swore by it.

You may have to set up traps and then release them far away. Of course, you would use the type of traps that cage them, not hurt them.
Or try calling an animal removal service, but verify first that they do not kill them.

I swear this is true, works for deer and many other animals too, Pee around the yard, they stay away from humans.
