This question is on here a lot today! lol..It's been determined thats not going to happen, the officals, all of them in that game, has been suspended for one game. That's about all thats going to happen. So to me, thats basically saying OU lost due to the ref's not being able to look at a tv screen right, the game should be thrown out

No. I'm an OU fan and the last thing I want to see is for the outcome of the game to be changed after the outcome. I would rather live with the loss and move on. We need to focus on the next game which is coming soon. We need to learn from the mistakes we made in this game. That is the benefit of losing or failing anyway. You look at what you did and try to do better next time. That is also what the PAC 10 needs to look at. Pac 10 officials made their conference look bad. They need to try to figure out where their shortcomings were and make sure to do a better job next time. I will say that if we won a game that way I wouldn't be on here running down the state we beat and/or the people who live there. I would probably even admit that I don't like winning games that way but I haven't seen much of that good sport attitude going around. We feel really shafted right now but that will wear off. Believe me if we lost fairly we wouldn't be pointing fingers at anyone but ourselves. Also if the call on the onside kick could have been remotely accurate I wouldn't be posting stuff right now. It's just that it was such a terrible call. It was too obvious. I can see the refs on the field making the error but I just don't like that the replay official didn't reverse the call. It was too easy to see. I think we all need to think about our sportsmanship. I despise the fan who supposedly made a death threat to the replay official. I think there are probably poor sports in every conference. We just don't want them to expose themselves. It's too embarassing. My OU buddies are a little hurt about the game but sometimes you lose. Most OU fans that I know are very kind and try to be good sports. As painful as it is OU's defense isn't as great as it was but all we can do is hope they get better. Actually, I know they will get better. Our weak defense is the reason Oregon scored at the end of the game. I admit that freely. But there is still no excuse for bad officiating. The officials have he opportunity to correct their mistakes but the players and coaches don't.
And for those who don't know. It's not a prerequesite that you attend the university that you are a fan of. I'm living proof. I did not attend OU. However, I am a huge OU Football fan. Deal with it!

I am a Sooner fan, and I say no way. After the final gun goes off, it is over. OU should look at that game as a game of missed opportunities. They had 4 take aways. 3 trips into the redzone ended in field goals. Allowed Oregon to score a long touchdown in the last two minutes to allow them to get in position to win. OU should have scored more points and played some defense. I think it sucks a lot that the referees blew the call so badly, but you can't put yourself in a position to be able to get beat in the last few minutes. Advise to OU, score touchdowns instead of field goals, and learn to defend the long pass.

Hell no! Would the Sooners give up the victory if they were victims of the poor officiating? Bad calls are part of the game. You just hope you get the best refs you can so they can be kept to a bare minimum but they will still happen once in a while. The solution is for teams not to put themselves in a position where a blown call can cost them a game.

No, it was the officials' fault, the referees and they replay officials upstairs.
But you have to remember, and this is not a wiseass remark, these officials were working in front of 59,000 Oregon fans and they wanted to get out of the stadium without being assaulted. Seriously.

They should, but they won't. No one is saying penalize them for the referee's mistakes, but is it fair to reward them for it? Give them a win in a game that by all rights they should have lost?
How is this any different from the fifth down Colorado got in the year they shared the national title with Georgia Tech?

No, they won the game. Just like if it happened to Oklahoma, they would have won. And the Ref's made the right call.
(not a fan of football, just happen to watch the game that day)

No. You can't penalize the Ducks for the officials' mistakes.
Nothing can be done about it now. Both teams should be awarded a win, but that won't happen.

Nope. Refs fault, not the players. If your saying should the NCAA make the right decision and reverse the call then I say yes.
