diesel. but I'm partical I have a 2003 GMC Sierra with a Duramax Diesel and you couldn't pay me to get rid of it. Love the smell and love the sound. I can tow and go off roading. Good miledge too. The perfect package. The smell of diesel just gets me goin'. Sounds pretty strange but I am a trucker's wife. ^.~
