Wash their hands after using the restroom? Over the weekend, two of my best guy friends came to visit me. They both used the restroom, and seeing as how my bedroom is RIGHT next to the bathroom, I know for a fact that they didn't wash their hands after using it...mainly because I heard a flush and then out they walked. It's also not just those two that i've noticed doing it...I know that my ex boyfriend would do the same thing, which I thought was kinda weird. My question is, isn't this unsanitary? Do men feel like they don't have to wash their hands after using the restroom because they aren't really touching anything? Is this something that a lot of guys do? I know some women do it, which I feel is beyond nasty...especially considering everything you have to touch. I'm just wondering if it isn't just as unhealthy when guys do it, as it is when women do it? Or are guys allowed more leeway, because they don't have to go through the same process women do?

Unfortunately, it is "normal". Not right, but normal. Not sanitary either. My thought is that its the convenience factor (or inconvenience of stopping to wash). Also, moms are often the mentor and set the standard for kids. I think much more attention is given to teaching our little girls how to care for themselves than we do teaching our sons.
I just don't think that it matters to a lot of guys.

They're are just unsanitary as all should wash after using the bathroom and taking care of business.

You hang around with some very nasty gentleman, but alas it is true most people dont wash their hands after using the bathroom.

Well I wash my hands every time but I know a lot of guys who don't, I don't really fit the stereotype though but then lots of guys do wash their hands as well.....so there u go.

I am an EMT and in training they pounded it in our heads that everyone needs to wash their hands regularly.
Many people do not wash their hands, but it is not a guy thing or a girl thing.

I take it you mean after peeing?
I cant say I pee all over my hands whilst going and as I keep myself clean down there, it shouldnt be a problem.
If theres any splash back then straight to the sink >:-D
If its for a poo then everytime
I feel I have shared to much lol

Everyone should always wash their hands with warm water & soap for 30 seconds or more.
My bf always washes his hands. As do I.

i do wash my hands, every time.
second,
urine is sterile.
so. maybe some people think they've washed up after wards with a more sterile substance anyhow. HAHAHAHA

I think its out of laziness. But speaking for myself. I always wash my hands. It's how I was raised.

hi there blieve me this is a nasty thing that all guys do and it seems tht they think that they are ok to do this to me its really nasty for any guy not to wash there hands after being to the loo .........and as for the girls that do not wash there hands .......well thats just minging !!!!!!
