Deep Dish Chicago style pizza. There are a bunch of Giordanos that server really nice spinach pizza all over the city. There is also Ginos East, which is a big tourist trap pizza place, as well as a number of smaller joints. (Pizza Capri is really big.)
Also, take a walk through the loop to see some great architecture. (You can stick closer to the river to keep a little cooler if it ends up being a muggy June day.) The L is also a great way to see sections of the city. The Brown line is above ground the whole way, and goes over the loop downtown as well as some 'tourist' neighborhoods on the northside. If you happen to fly in to Midway, the orange line also goes around the loop. It gives you a chance to see Chicago's industrial past (canals, railroads, etc.)

Check out Ed Debevic's on Ontario St. It's close to Hard Rock and the Rock 'N Roll McDonalds. The Rain Forest is close too. Then there's Pizzeria Uno where you can dine outside. Navy Pier is cool too, lots to do there. The Magnificent Mile of North Michigan Ave. with all the trendy (expensive) shops. While at Navy Pier check out the doggie beach close by. Folks take their dogs to the lake for a dip.

From one girl to another ---
Check out Elizabeth Arden's Red Door Spa - located right off the Miracle Mile.
Be sure to visit Nordstroms... which, uh... is called Macy's now I think...
Ghiradelli chocolate is also a great visit too!
Enjoy Chicago... it's pne of the best largest cities in America!

metromix.com, how long will you be here ? do you want tourist traps or places out of the ordinary ? go to crobar or la passage sweet clubs. eating go to navy pier. try to get cubs tickets, Wrigley field is surrounded by a ton a bars..you don't really go to see the game anyway..stay away from division street bars, very cheesy, if you go to far east you'll be robbed and beaten..feel free to email...

If you like baseball, I recommend going to see the Cubs play at Wrigley field; its a pretty cool experience if you've never been or don't live in Chicago.
