How many people do you know that are rich and are miserable? Take an example of a person who was rich, and didn't know what to do with himself. Michael Jackson. The world is a rich place by itself, but here are too many poverty minded people living in it.

'Rich' or 'wealth' is a matter of relativity.

Your dustman could be a millionaire, but would that make him / her 'wealthy' when his money was just enough to live on?

Once upon a time, having a MILLION pounds in the Bank was an 'awful L.O.T.' of money, and millionaires were few on the ground. The ownership of a house by members of the general public was also very very uncommon. Now there are a few THOUSAND of the former and them Hundreds and Thousands of the latter. Does this make us any better off.... and would the world be a better place if EVERYONE was the same?

'Rich,' being so, is not a matter of 'money' and the amounts we posses. No-way.

Sash.

There would be no world because all the resources would be used up. Actually because of the need for resources people may become more desperate and more wars would develop.

Plus, people love conflict. Someone always needs to build himself up by making another group of people seem lowly. I think the world would only be a better place when we get rid of insecurity in people.

It would be about the same, because the people who are currently rich now will figure out how to get richer and richer. And some of the people who have never been rich will waste their money. Then we'll be right back to having classes again... upper class, middle class, lower class. There will just be more money circulating, and prices will be higher... oh, wait... isn't that inflation?

No, there would be nothing to strive for. There is no better satisfaction than buying something, or taking that dream holiday because you have worked and saved hard for it.
I would however, like everyone to be able to keep warm, have decent housing and eat proper food.
What would make the world a better place is the best health care for all.

if all the world was rich it would be a better place for the people. probably not for the economy

if everybody had the same or similar ammounts of cash the world would be a mess (that's verging on communism) but i don't think that's what you meant

Great concept, but won't work.It would be the same if the whole worked was poor.In order for money to have a usefulness there has to be a value to it.If everyone had the same amount the value of goods would rise to meet the available capital. What your proposing is the fundamental economy the communist system works on,and we all see how well that worked.

In many instances the rich are the loneliest.

Movies like, "Scarface" and "Little Orphan Annie" show that those at the top are isolated.

In "Scarface" we have a Cuban immigrant who makes the mother load of fortune's by illegally selling/ controlling the cocaine distribution. Each step this Cuban immigrant takes is one step closer to his ultimate isolation; scene where he's in his mansion's bathroom hot-tub.

"Little Orphan Annie" shows how a man who started his way to riches by sweeping and made it to the top of American wealth is also alone, and wakes up when a little red head orphan blesses him with her life.

no because being rich doesn't neccessarily buy happiness as the old saying goes and plus, there would be people who would spend some of that money producing nuclear weapons, buy and sell drugs on the streets and people robbing and hounding others for their money, for example. it all depends really. if people use money in a productive way that helps benefits others, and those less fortunate than themselves in society than perhaps so.

besides, i'd prefer to have not as much money and yet be more content and happy with myself
