I used to worry about this because I used to go sometimes 8-9 weeks between periods, but I got assured by my Gp who said that everybodies cycle is different and can go up to this length of time...
If you are very worried then see your doctor (or a lady doctor at the surgery) they are usually very understanding and can help find out if it is normal for you. Good luck

No I don't think it is. You were pretty early to start, although I did know someone who started at the age of 8. The normal time is between 13 and 16.

The fact that you miss one every other month is worrying too. Some women skip, but it is usually very occassionally once every couple of years, not months. I have not skipped one since the age of 13 and I am now 26.

I would consult your doctor as soon as possible

It is probably normal for you. I started my period when I was 11 and never knew when it was coming until after I weaned my first daughter at the age of 26. You should continue to keep track of when it comes and if it becomes even more erratic, you might ask your parents to take you to the doctor. Just because it is erratic doesn't mean you aren't ovulating and can't get pregnant, so if you are sexually active, use condoms every time!!

ideally periods are 28 days cycle. but ideal is not very common. many people have 36 days cycle and so it's every other month. track your first day of mense on a calendar for a year and see if you are 36 days cycle or not. if you are not sure , see a doctor who can explain to you. so you know your safe days and fertile days.

Totally normal sweetie. You won't settle into a real cycle for years.
Mine only settled into a pattern when I went on the pill at 18.

you would be better off seeing your doctor as it could be anything and its ok to miss aperiod once in a while but not every other month, your doctor should send you to a gynacologist, as that is a specialist doctor who deals with things like this every day and they will be able to do blood tests and maybe an ultrasound on your stomach to see whats going on with you? wopuld advice you to get an appointment with your doctor as soon as you can to put your mind at rest, hope you get on ok?

Very normal! To some, this may sound like "heaven" but you probably have really heavy, and very painful periods when you do have them!

yeah, but once you start having sex, it's gonna drive you crazy. It'll have you thinking you're pregnant. I would talk to a doctor, there are pills that can regulate your period.
