ok nevermind, i have found a better alternative to an fm transmitter or a new stereo. Its called the Neo Ion, and it is a simple adapter you connect yourself to your existing car stereo, and bam, complete ipod to car stereo integration. thanks anyways.

FM Transmitter is the best choice. I have tried several, and the best quality is from iRiver FM Transmitter that costs $49.95 at Best Buy.

your other option is to get a brand new car stereo that has an INPUT jack on the front. then you get a cable that goes directly from the ipod to the stereo.
