In psychology the self is the most important priority. Self- preservation. The shark scenario would only reinforce that mechanism.

You would be immensely important to yourself particularly because you would quickly realize you were the latest contribution to the food chain of every hungry shark and baracuda in the area.
In terms of relevance, you'd be a mere blip on the radar screen of the universe, dogpaddling your way to the nearest land. Coffee, tea or ME?!!

i've swam in the ocean before. it was fun! it made me feel even more important. unfortunately i wasn't butt naked but that would've made me feel even more special!
