How can it be so peaceful when a lot of them hate the rest of the world and celebrate when 9/11 happened? Was Allah this hateful? Did Allah preach violence and intolerance?

Yes, they do follow a religion of peace. Unfortunately the Muslims who misinterpret the Quran so it looks like all of us hate the US and non-Muslims get the press coverage. Islam is a way of life for Muslims from God, so naturally it has to be peaceful. The word Islam comes from the Arabic word salama, which means both peace and submission to god. Alot of haters here take the submission to god part and say it tells us to go and make everyone Muslim or kill them, but it serves as a reminder to Muslims that they have to follow Islam and do their duties. It also in a way links to Allah's name Ar-Rahim, or the most merciful. The Quran is a book of peace. The Madinah period revelations (The Makkah period ones all teach peace, and the Madinah are 'violent for no reason' compared to Makkah) everyone says is telling Muslims to kill others and hate people when it was because by that time, almost all of Madinah had embraced Islam, so the enemies of Muhammad tried to kill him thinking it would stop the spread of Islam. Islam combines the turn the other cheek thought with the fact of life that you can't just sit and take all of the slaps without doing anything. When Muhammad took over Makkah, there was no bloodshed or violence in the process. In fact, the whole army was ordered by him as he was told by Allah before they reached the city to put down their weapons.
Islam also teaches tolerance. Every year during Hajj (the trip to Makkah), Muslims from around the world come to Makkah and pray together wearing the same type of simple clothes. Everyone has to treat each other nicely, whether they're black, white, chinese, man, woman, rich, poor, or anything else that makes them different from each other. Rich people don't get more than the poor.

Ask yourself, since Christians bombed abortion clinics, killing and maiming hundreds, does that mean that God preached violence and intolerance? Since in the Old Testament, God told Moses and his sons to slaughter the people worshipping the Golden Calf, does that mean God preaches violence? The Middle East is suffering a lot of conflict and division right now--don't permit the actions of a few to define the many.
BTW, Allah is the same as Jehovah, El, etc. The "God" that Islam worships is the same as the Christian "God". They simply believe that Jesus was a "prophet", like their Muhammed. Not the son of God.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. You quack me up. It's hard to be tolerant and peaceful when you have to trudge across sand all day and the temperature is 120 degrees in the shade. Makes you cranky. For all the money the U.S. has spent on the war, I bet we could have instead installed a whole bunch of Olympic sized swimming pools all over Iraq. Cool everybody off. Sometimes, you just gotta think outside the box, you know?

And who was the poster above who denies that any Muslim terrorist had anything to do with 9/11? Sounds like she's part of the problem.

We dont hate the world!!! I dont see why you say that. if your listening to those who go against the government then it the opposition you must know that the opposition opposes to all the things by the government to get attention. if your taking the example of wat the pope said then wont you feel bad if he say anything to your religion?
Wat are we celibrating at 9/11? unless its our birthday. lol. in my country 9/11 is our founder's day of death and i dont think that its anything to be celibrating.
and finally no.
its just that some of us go on a strike before the government acts. some of us donnt wait for the government. they feel that the government doesnt know while they are searching for a better way then strikes.
and by the way we didnt caused the accident of 9/11. the proof is the documentry by geo tv. i dont know the english version but ive seen it in my language.(urdu)

I don't think that Muslems have a real Religion! They are full of violence!!!
God is Love and Jesus was the man of peace!!!
And we don't see such things in Muslem's religion!!
