I was looking for some really cool site for my son who is in 3rd grade. we need to have him practice his handwritting and math. He is a good reader and loves school he just needs practice with those subjects. I have the nick jr, nickolodeon, his school web site. I was wondering if any parent out there may know of any other ones to keep his attention and have him learn & have some fun.

If it's a serious concern, then get a tutor. A computer doesn't compare to one-on-one tuition.

Apart from that, look for computer games and stuff to help with his maths. There are a couple of really old ones that I used to play as a kid that you could probably find on an abandonware site.

Buy a Leapster. It's an interactive learning tool and costs about $50. It really works and has reading, math, logic and science lessons and games.

There are many age-appropriate computer games that teach both. You may want to try some of those. Find them in your local electronics stores.

I'm just curious as why you asked if your son was in the 3rd grade? How would we know????

Based on how to ask a question - I think Mom should re-attend the 3rd grade as well :D
