I would think the best way to go about it is to contact an agency. They can tell you what you need to do to become a working model, or they can refer you to someone who can.
A word of caution--I've known people who have wanted to model or get their kids into modeling, and don't EVER go with an agency or a representative that wants you to pay any $$ up front. If it's a legitimate agency, they won't ask for any. They will get their cut when you get work, and YOU get paid yourself.

Try a modeling agency. Say what you want to do. You could also work at a plus size store like Lane Bryant. Do a good job there and maybe you will get notcies.Hope it helps a little!!

I want to state,I am disappointed in the rudeness people had...and the third one was the most benifical. Another thought for you is to look into an agency in your local area. They will take profile pictures, and train you in walking and style...and will help you get your name out there....look into sites that give you info. I would start with eating bacon, cheese and chocolate sandwiches. Then hire a decent photographer to construct a portpholio. Then, find plus-sized agencies to send samples to.

All you have to do is call a casting agency. They probably dont do them but they always know "who" to contact. They are very helpful. New York,... everything is possible. Good Luck!
