GO CARDS!! The new stadium is beautiful, cant wait to go back and see the inside! The Zoo in St.Louis is also so much better than any other zoo I have been to. Oh, and Ted Drewes!! I bet the fall flavors are out in force.

Zoo is still free, and in my opinion the best zoo in the country. New Busch is great, it really goes with the architectual design in the immediate surrounding area. Ballpark Village (the area immediately surrounding Busch which will have stores, bars, resteraunts, and apt/condos) is quite the controversy right now, the owners want the city to put up something like $600 million.
Downtown is making yet another attempt at becoming alive. This time though, it seems to be working. Lofts are selling like crazy (I just happen to live in one on Washington), and the night life is starting to make a comeback. You're seeing alot more "uppity" type places, where people only really go just to be seen (ie Lucas Park Grille, Copia, Mosaic).
The traffic problem is VERY overrated. If you want to know what traffic problems REALLY are, try going through DC or Atlanta. StLouis traffic is a walk in the park compared to those two cities. The highway contruction on the other hand, is ALWAYS at a snails pace.
It's a great city, and the only one I would ever consider home.

Grand Avenue continues to grow with new restaurants, clubs and shops. St. Louis University will soon be building a new arena on north Grand (north of 40) which will only add to this. Zoo is still free. Not sure how long you have been gone but in the 9+ years I have lived here, I have seen a resurgence in the City and downtown. Housing prices on the rise (wish I guess is a good/bad thing depending on how you look at it) with more middle income folks returned to the City. And of course the Cardinals are in first place and only days away from clinching their division....

A lot of neighborhood revitalization. Forest Park Southeast is becoming kind of a hotspot, the Loop is slicker and more popular than ever, South Grand is slowly making motions in that direction. There's a loft boom downtown, of course. People are working on art and revitalization efforts in Old North St. Louis.
STL city's school board is as contentious as ever - the board just replaced the superintendent. Have you been around Gravois since the Bevo Mill neighborhood became one of the largest Bosnian-American enclaves in the country? That's happening. The whole area around Morganford's got all kinds of new businesses and restaurants/bars opening. The expansion of the MetroLink into Clayton, Shrewsbury, and around Wash U. just opened. A new-ish contemporary art museum opened next to the Pulitzer by the Fox in 2003. Famous-Barr was bought out, and all of their stores just converted into Macy's (including the classic Downtown location). The County's pretty well in love with national chain restaurants like P.F. Chang's and the like.

What human beings forget is that the great Bowl winning Rams in 2000 had a mediocre protection, and their protection persisted to be mediocre for the time of the 2000's. They dont have Faulk and Warner anymore, yet they could nevertheless score 30 a game with Bulger, Holt, Bruce, Steven Jackson, and now they have further impressive possession WR Drew Bennett. The question is, can the protection evade giving up 30? They made some strikes defensively in loose company, yet none that seem to be of a considerable result so far. the wonderful component the Rams have going for them is they play interior the NFC Worst, a branch the place the champion replaced into 9-7 (Seattle) final season and their record made them look lots extra constructive than they even have been. The Rams could desire to fee their way into the branch call or wild card.
