the ipod updater has told me to update with itunes ( i have the newest version of itunes) but the itunes is not recognising my ipod
whaat should i doooooo

Had this problem and found the solution...

1. Take out your Ipod from the USB port
2. Open up the Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Delete simultaneously)
3. Click on the "Processes" tab at the top
4. Under Image Name, search for "IpodUpdater.exe" something to that extent but it will have "Ipod.exe" in the name
5. Highlight it by clicking on it and then click on "End Process"
6. Once it ends and disappears from the list, plug your Ipod back in and restart the Ipod Updater

That should make it work.

Just Had my 30 gb repaired, still cant Itunes to regognize
it, DONT do as someone suggested start in safe mode
cant stop it now, the only help I could get was from a company called "Jigsaw" my problem is because I am runniing an Illegal
copy of windows, darent plug it back in, Itunes stuck in safe mode still, cant remove it, if you need further advice on company Email and will find no; for you, regards;

Your USB port is broken! purchase a clean one. My final ipod broke via fact my broken USB port and it ripped the interior twine issues aside so i could not charge it! i purely presently had to purchase a clean one!!! desire I Helped!!
