I think we just need to forget about it now and move on. I am an OU fan and I wish that crap had not happened but it did. I think that since the PAC 10 has admitted that there was a bad call that effected the outcome of the game, and the refs have been suspended, we should just accept the acknowledgement and move on. I'm relieved that it was acknowledged. But to reverse or change the outcome or to have it stricken from the records is a bad idea. I think it would be best for the record to stand as is to remind people how important it is to call the game fairly. I also think that people who are being critical of OU fans "whining" on here consider how they would react if the game got practically stolen from them in a similar manner. It's not just about OU. It's also about holding up a standard that we all want the games to be called fairly. When I see a final score, I want that to represent who won and who lost. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. I want the final score to be real and accurately depict the playing level of both teams. Oregon ranked 18, Oklahoma ranked 15. It was going to be a close game. If it were a poorly matched game either way the officiating wouldn't have made that much difference. I also want to add that it wasn't as much the bad calls as it was the poor timing of the bad calls. If it had happened in the first quarter we couldn't really argue about it. But since it happened at the end we didn't have time to recover.

Whoever said that the game is being stricken from the record has been given incorrect information. Never in the history of college football has a game been "stricken from the record" because of bad calls. Suspending the refs and giving the sooners fans some acknowlegement that they aren't the only ones who feel they got the shaft is about the best that they are going to get. Now they have gone back and stricken wins from teams records who were caught cheating later on but never because of bad officiating and trust me if they were going to start that they would have started it long ago. Some more recent examples. 2004 Alabama/LSU. Corey Webster (LSU) literally threw down Keith Brown (Alabama) in the end zone, intercepted the pass, and ran it back for a huge return (which they scored)and a huge momentum change in the game not to mention robbing Alabama of a scoring opportunity. Same year Florida/Tenn. They called a personal foul on Florida that should have been againt Tenn that set up the game winning field goal for UT. Both of those plays were aknowledged the next day as extremely bad calls "that effected the outcome of the game" however they didn't go back and "strike it from the record". Thats just not how it works.
Everyone is going to have games like that and yes it sucks but things tend to even themselves out. There are going to be games where all the calls go your way and all the calls go their way. In this case the sooners are going to just have to be happy with the national acknowlegement that they got screwed because thats the best they are going to get.

If you would have read the article last night, you would have seen that the game is being stricken from the records and the entire ref staff has been put on a one game suspension. Oregon State also complained about the reffing in the game and did not feel it was a fair win by any means so give kudos to the team for not fighting over it.

They was robbed! That's why I don't like college football; a flub up like that has cast OU out of any championship contention. If there were a playoff, then it would not be so magnified.
Remember that Colorado won the National Championship (actually shared it with Georgia Tech) in 1991 when in one of their wins, they scored on a 5th down play. College football has it's pluses, but getting hooked on a team only to see bureaucracy throw teams out of championship contention in September is too much for me. I'll focus on the NFL and watch NCAA Div. 1 as a farm league until they get a legitimate playoff system.

If OU is that much better a bad call or 5 shouldn't have made a difference. The refs have already been suspended. OU gets the loss, deal with it.

Boo Hoo, Boo Hoo, it's only a football game, the world has not changed because OU lost a lousy football game, our boys are still dying in Iraq, Iran is still promoting terrorism, China is still producing more people, Ford, GM and Chrysler are going belly up, and I am sure that none of the above would of happened if the game had gone the other way?????

O.K., WE GET IT. THE REFS BLEW IT. THE SOONERS GOT SCREWED. WHAT CAN BE DONE ABOUT IT, NOW? TO SUGGEST THAT A LOSS OR A WIN BE OMITTED FROM A TEAM'S RECORD IS ABSURD. SWITZER WAS A CHEATIN' BASTARD......MAYBE WE SHOULD GO BACK AND DEDUCT SOME WINS AND LOSSES FROM HIS RECORD TO MAKE THE NON-SOONERS FEEL BETTER AFTER THE WHOOPIN' SOME OF THOSE SOONER TEAMS PUT ON THEM. OR MAYBE NEXT WEEK WE WON'T KEEP SCORE, SO AS NOT TO UPSET A COLLEGE FOOTBALL TEAM WHEN THEY LOSE.
GO BUCKEYES!!!!!!!
