Every baby is different. My eight and a half month baby eats;
7am 200mls milk
8am either one weetabix or 1 tablespoon porridge
12pm 3 ice cubes of meat, veg, potato plus small yogurt
3pm 200mls milk
5pm one small slice toast with soft cheese plus 1/2 banana
7pm 200mls milk
She does eat quite a lot and she eats well, baby will stop when they have had enough

Personally every baby is different and they are very good at telling you when they are hungry. Giving him small meals will help you determine when he is full or not. Such as getting irritable when he is still hungry.
