Hello Everybody!

I am 19 weeks pregnant, and I decided to start a pregnancy keepsake scrapbook for my baby. I do digital scrapbooking. I am going to include the positive pregnancy test with word art about the reactions of both me and my husband, ultrasound pictures, and belly shots of me throughout the pregnancy.

Has anybody else ever done a scrapbook like this??? I am still in the beginner stage and would like to see what others have done to get some ideas. Do you all know of some pictures of other peoples pages they created regarding pregnancy and childbirth that I could look at???

Any other tips or advice is welcome. Thanks for your time!!

I have a pregnancy journal from both of my pregnancies. It is not quite a scrapbook, but I do save important items like positive pregnancy tests, cards I received while pregnant, ultrasound pictures, and pictures of myself at various stages of pregnancy. For items like the pregnancy test that are too big for a book, I put them into a keepsake box big enough to keep the journal in. I also kept items after my daughter was born like the little t-shirts and knitted caps they give you in the hospital, the "it's a girl" banner that hung on my hopital door, and various other items like the ink pad you can still see her footprints in. I also have all of our hospital bracelets. Some of these items went into her scrapbook and others I just keep in the keepsake box. Keep everything you get and even if it doesn't all work in the scrapbook you can find a special way to keep them.

I've never done that but it sounds like a wonderful idea :-)

Make sure to add parts about the planning for the new baby. Take pictures of the nursery and talk about why you picked that certain decor and things like that. Make a page about the name you chose for the baby. Have the meaning of the name and make a place that tells why you chose that name for them. Also, make a page with your guesses of date of birth, how much the baby will weigh, how big (long) he/she will be, if they'll have hair or if they won't, ect. Then when the baby is born, go back and tell if you were right or not. Anyway, just some suggestions. Congrats and God bless.

Keep track of what cravings, food and otherwise, you have at different stages, your child might find that neat later in life (for instance, when my mom was pregnant with my little brother, she really enjoyed watching basketball, but that was the only time in her life she ever had a desire to watch basketball!), you could include pictures representing the craving. I've always liked the idea of keeping track of your belly through pictures, too - like once a week or something.

I am 8 months pregnant and I am waiting to do all the scrap-booking. I don't know why ....maybe somewhere I am scared that something will happen with my pregnancy if i start doing everything. I know its silly but I am going to wait until she's here to begin that part. I have taken pictures and even have a pregnancy journal...i just haven't put it together.

Lots of belly pictures at different stages as it grows and have you considered having your belly casted? It's a neat way to "preserve" the moment! Have fun and enjoy yourself! I hope the scrapbook turns out great, as i'm sure it will!!

Congrats! From the day I found out I was pregnant to the day before I had my daughter (I was about 2 weeks overdue) I took belly shots and then when we found out that she was a girl i made a little sign that says it's a girl and put it right above my tummy and that shots in there too. I also put all of the slips they gave me for my next dr appointment and put my weight, how round my tummy was (I went from 31" to 49") and what the dr said. then as time went on and i did things like on xmas i sat on santas lap and put that picture in there and the picture of my grandmother and i (along with the stub) of the first concert she went to - i was still pregnant. it turned out to be really neat. then when i was in the hospital her dad and my mom took pictures of me on the bed with the little heart and contractions monitors on my tummy and then her first picture and the little sign they put on the bassinet at the hospital. i also have her's and my wrist band (hers was an ankle band though).
just start putting everything in there, it will turn out to be so cool and s/he will love it when they get older - to see what mommy went through (body changes) and did when she was pregnant.
i hope you have fun!
