I want to know how to record from a Sony minidisc to Sony Vaio laptop with mini jack cable.It won`t accept it?

I`ve tried mini jack to mini jack because I can`t get a USB to mini-jack lead. In manual it says I must use Net MD but mine is an ordinary MD without LP

Sorry but I dont think you can do this. The minidisc jack is only an audio signal, you would need Net MD player to transfer as a ATRAC file. Where are you trying to copy to? Sonic Stage or something else? The LP part doesn't matter, it's the type of player that you have. You would have to convert the audio to MP3 or ATRAC I think. See what others say!! You could maybe find extra info on Minidisc.org link below. Good luck
