I just finally found someone else who shares this, so now there are at least 2 of us and our phobia deserves a label. It's an intense fear and hatred of wiggly food (jello, most pasta, gummy candy.) and is mostly linked to a fear of throwing up, alone or at a social occasion. It's not sitophobia, because that's just a fear of food in general. And I actually love angel hair pasta as long as I can wind it around a fork several times and thus completely immobilize it. My friend suggested pastaphobia, but maybe you can do better.

Kinetofayetophobia. Literally, fear of moving food. See, I know some Greek. Now go and impress the pros with that one.

LMAO

I know that a phobia is not funny, but that one just made me laugh. I personally don't like Jello (but I'm not afraid of it) and the thought of you "immobilizing" your pasta was good for a chuckle.

Best of luck to you on your phobia naming contest. Here's my entry: FOOWIGAPHOBIA for FOOd that WIGgles.

In my view, your phobia is focused on jellyfish, tentacles (symbolically) & jelly.

- tentacle-phobia

- mucilophobia: phobia of jelly and visquous substances.

I hope this will help you :-)
