Without a shadow of doubt. I am all for people earning a good living if they have a talent but there are so many ordinary players who demand and get obscene wages. Because clubs are prepared to pay sky high wages admission fees go through the roof and at the end of the day the fans are exploited. It is only their love of the game and loyalty to their team that keeps them going through the turnstiles. Look how much money is made from the commercial activities of clubs. Look at the increase in corporate activities and executive boxes. These are filled with people who have not got the slightest interest in football. Clubs change kits both home and away each year knowing that the fans will buy them. Exploitation at the highest level. More and more foreigners investing in English football. Great some people may think. What happens if they find another toy and withdraw their support. It will one day reach saturation point and explode. Of course the media do not help. I can recall when all games kicked off at 3 o'clock on a Saturday afternoon. Now just to suit television we have late games on a Saturday, games on Sunday and even Monday. Certain players seem to spend more time promoting products when their priority should be playing football and giving the fans value for money. Roll on the revolution.

No we have the best crop of English players for a while and the championship has been producing teams that stay up when they get to the premiership. Whats spoiling the English game is the authorities on high. The refs should be aided by technology and armed with real powers and proper respect. The players should be allowed full contact and if they get hurt too bad.

Yes it is and it's very sad. The Premiership Clubs are far too money orientated and it is not where the best football is played. All the money is lavished on them and the lower divisions are left to struggle and this is where the real football is found. The proliferation of foreign players in the larger clubs is so counter productive, we need to be bringing on our own players.
Because of the huge salaries the season now seems to last all year. Players become jaded and do not play to the full potential, though with the money they earn they can hardly complain
For heavens sake lets stop the obscene salaries and large transfer fees please, stop making football big business, ripping of the fans for ever changing and ever more expensive strips. Please give the game back to the fans and not to the money men.

Definately, no more home grown talent because of this. Clubs buy players that are names and unproven or names that are at the end of their careers. Easy pay packets for the likes of Ballack, Shevchenko yada yada yada who now claim they have wanted to play for their new clubs since they were kids. Didn't they say that at their last clubs? By the way did you hear that Ballack says can't afford to buy a house in England, its to expensive so has to rent. Only earns £130,000 A WEEK BASIC and sponsorship and endorsements on top so poor greedy shitebag is on the bread line. Makes me sick but i'm not jealous or bitter, promise!!

It did a long time ago. When the Premier League waas formed. English Game? How many englishmen are even involved anymore? Why do we still have loyalties? The players, managers and chairmen don't. What a farce.

no. all the clubs get a good slice of tv money which in turn buys better players, meaning... better games to watch. its lack of funds up here in scotland thats ruining our game as we have crap players which means crap games. football is all about entertainment, you watch it to be thrilled not bored to tears like most scottish games. lets hope saturdays old firm game will be better than what we've had already this season. c'mon the gers.
