For current comedians I prefer Ellen Degeneres. I like that in the middle of a story she has to stop because she's laughing and seeming to enjoy herself so much.
Either I'm a lot older than the rest of you, or I'm a really bad nostalgic state because I've been listening a lot to Bob Newhart. His deadpan style of delivery, lack of vulgarity, and just his general sense that he would enjoy doing the routines even if he weren't getting paid appeals to me.
Had to edit this: I just read today's paper: have to add Congress to the list. They tell stories that no one believes--I just laugh at the outlandishness that they (Congress) thknk we'll believe them.
