What do you do when you're bored at work, but need to look busy?

Sorry, I can not help. I do no work, my husband says years of raising my children into adulthood gives me the right to shop, go to Y, lunch with friends, & play with grandchildren. If I want to look buzy, I get on Q&A. When I was an accountant, I never had free time.

I pile up some files on my desk, and walk all around fast flapping insignificant papers around like I'm trying to read them. :))
Piling files is always great because when they come to give you more work you point at the pile and say I'll do it but all this came before that. All I can do is put it at the bottom. Then you doi it fast hold it for a while and turn it before expected. Then you're the hero.:))

Lay out lots of documents directly in front of me, on my desk and pretend to look troubled as I type away on the screen.

bring a magazine with you and hide it either on your lap or within papers to make it appear you are reading reports or safety sheets.
