About two weeks ago my horn just started blowing for no apparent reason. One day it wouldn't stop. So I took the fuse out. I replaced the fuse and the same thing happened. The horn just blew non-stop. I don't know what else could be wrong or what else I need to look at or replace.

Hi there Dee Dee;

Well, I would look under the hood and locate the horn and look if the wires are close to each other, (there should be 2 wires to the horn)and if there are any other wires touching to any metal in the car. If the wires to the horn are by any chance touching or close to each other , very carefully separate them by using a non-metal tool that u may have around, like pliers or something similar, but by all means DO NOT use a scissors.

And by replacing the fuse is not gonna do much good. Or maybe that the horn is damaged and need to replace it.

If u can't resolve it or can't locate the horn or the wires, I would suggest that u take the car to ur local mechanic in ur area.

If u have any other questions, please feel free to send me emails to: mariopcgames@comcast.net

I hope that u can resolve that problem.

Bye4now!

Don't know what the vehicle is, but several minor things could cause the horn to blow.
1) The horn relay could have been subjected to moisture and the contacts shorted together.
2) There could be a short in the wiring harness somewhere in the horn circuit, both the horn side and the control side.
3) The horn switch (behind the center of the steering wheel) could have something keeping the circuit closed (eg, a sunflower seed shell, rust flake etc.)
4) The brush that makes the contact from the steering wheel to the car's electrical system could be bent, shorted or otherwise damaged.
These are the areas to inspect for failures. Some of this will require some care so as to avoid personal injury. (Air bags, etc)

Good Luck
