Yes, taking drugs is one of the worse things a person can do for very many reasons. In some cases that one time can lead to death or a lifetime of mental problems and in other cases it does not end with the one experience. Kids will do what their peers tell them is cool in so many cases. A lot of drugs are addicting taking them just one time. I have worked in a home for mentally ill people who took drugs and that was the start of their mental illnesses, now they are sick for life. Parents need to constantly remind their kids how proud they are that they are not doing drugs and let them know the effects drugs have on people. Here is a site telling parents how to talk to children about drugs.

Dam right it is wrong taking any sort of drug!
I cannot begin to tell you how this can play a big part in mental illnesses later in life,it is not cool or fun..it is an early grave!!

We have all tried it at some point,it is a slippery slope.

Yes drugs are a problem, not only are there health problems and problems with crime ,but money spent on drugs is money used to fund organised crime and terrorism so the drugs bought by the youth of today is funding the bullets and bombs used by terrorists to kill people. I think that is a major problem....

It isn't something to worry about if it isn't on a daily basis. I have also done drugs in the past, but would never again take up the opportunity. I have seen the affects that drugs themselves have on people and wouldn't want that to happen to myself or anyone I know and love.

hi if your not usin drugs please dont start.if you are usin the only thing you have to look forward to is a progressive illness that ends with jails, institutions and death,if your not one of the lucky ones to get clean.people think that if they are not usin hard drugs or usin everyday that they wont get addicted, believe me you will if you have an addictive personalty which so many people do.people also think hash, dope and so called soft drugs you cant get addicted to.or that because they get tablets from the doctors they are not classed as a drug addict.any drug that is mood changing mind altering is addictive which includes drink.people think they are in control of the drug, but drugs will control them in the end.take care

Here, here to the_mojo_wire and ditto!

If you have an addictive personality trait and you take drugs for recreational purposes then yes, it could lead to addiction and therefore that would be a worry. If it's not drugs, it would something else!

No - the people that get addicted to drugs are going to end up addicted to something or other anyway. I took tons of drugs over the years and had a great time and came out of it fine. I'm glad I got it out of my system early.

I think the biggest problem is the parents !!
If more parents were open about there drug usage , telling the bad and the good .
I think less children would be using.
My mother was Honest about her usage , and i have never had a drug problem. Dont leave it up to anyone else parents need to be there 100% for there children.
