Dae Jang Geum has to be the best drama I've ever seen. Also extermely popular in Asian countries, but for some reason not picking up in the U.S.

Are they performed in English? Americans have never gotten used to watching subtitles. It's a cultural thing, to some extent. Americans, who are mostly not Asian in heritage, want to see people they can identify with in a TV show. TV is not one of the cultural highlights, after all.

Why would they? Outside of NY or San Fran there are no large populations of Asians who would be interested and there enough US Soaps to keep people occupied without having to deal with subtitles.

Because they don't advertise them...And if they do I never knew there were a such thing as Korean dramas

What Korean dramas ? Never seen any, so can't get in to them.
