I don't care about removing points, or banning, I just hate the presence of some answers to my questions. How I wish I could just delete them and have an automated message sent back to the person that made the offensive answer. As I said, they can keep their points, I just don't like my questions defiled by the obnoxiousness of some answers.

I'm fine with opposing answers, I mean when someone says something like, "do your own homework," or, "2 points!"

However, I could include answers that are barely relevant and could be classified as a red-herring, but I won't. There's enough subjectiveness to them that it would appear unfair.

I've reported many people, less so those that answer my questions, but not by intent, that I'm aware of. I've not gotten an automated message of receivership from Yahoo! of my reports in a long time. I don't keep track of who I report, so I don't know how effective my reports are.

I suppose you can always give them a bad rating which at least hides them from you.
Just keep on reporting the abusive ones too.
I don't really care if someone disagrees with me. I've got some fairly weird obsessions and if somebodys says I am on another planet, then it's no more than I'd expect! But if it's abusive, or worse abuses someone else in my thread, then I would report that.

If all were given the power to ban answers then people would ban answers that disagreed with there philosophy, not just idiotic degrading answers.

I know exactly what you mean. at least on myspace you can delete the comments people send you if you don't like them. how i wish i could send electric shock waves from my computer to the ******'s keyboards and zap their asses every time they wrote something hateful! lol

I hope I am not one you want to stay away. I try to be thoughtful in all of my responses. Well, almost always. But I don't mind who answers my Qs, the more the merrier.

Tell Yahoo maybe they will change the way we answer...It couldn't hurt....Yes, some times people can be very mean... even I have my days ......But, usually I try to give what I think is a good answer...Can't please every one... I guess....Thanks & take care
