This guy is amazing. The competition loads the box and he still makes 211 yards in the Oregon game. He has a natural talent that few have and I think he deserves the Heisman more than any player I have watched this year. The kid will be the 1st pick in the NFL draft.

Adrian Perterson is definatley a Heisman player. I think this is his year unlike past years Oklahoma dident do well as people thought. This year OU is a big team and can get alot done this year which will help the Peterson bandwagon.

OU has to win first. Peterson will not be considered unless he can lead his team to a winning record.

I have to agree with the other answerers and go with Troy Smith. I like Smith's chances...especially if OSU goes undefeated.

If stats were all that mattered Peterson still wouldn't win, there is a guy named Garret Wolfe in Northern Illinois that will put up better numbers then Peterson. Granted he is in the MAC.

at first all i heard was BRADY QUINN, but after being ousted last week, it will be ahrd to get his confidence back. I am an OU fan, so i guess my answer doesn't matter. After watching the Ohio Texas game, i have to admit, Troy Smith looked good against TEX decent defense. But, all that said, if Peterson continues to get over 175-200 yds per game, how can you not. He will be the next BARRY SANDERS.

1st pick yes. Heisman no. Probably a good thing. Heisman winners don't always hack it in the NFL.

Quinn is out.I think it will be between Peterson and Smith. And your right, 8 in the box and he still busted 211. He should of won it in his freshman year, due to the un-written rule freshman aren't suppose to win it ,he will win it for that reason alone.

i like it. Peyton Manning would not choose yet another MVP. i think of Rodgers, and Brady the two had extra effective years. Adrian Peterson ran large against the diverse superb defenses interior the nfl. he completley shredded san francisco, and led his group to the playoffs. peyton mannning had undesirable video games vs atl, tex and ne.

TROY SMITH IS THE OBVIOUS FRONT-RUNNER, AT THIS TIME. IF THE BUCKEYES RUN THE TABLE, THERE IS NO WAY PETERSON WILL BEAT HIM OUT. THEN WE'LL HAVE TO LISTEN TO THE SOONERS FANS WHINE FOR A LITTLE WHILE LONGER, AND WE'LL HAVE TO FIRE ALL THE PEOPLE WHO VOTE FOR THE HEISMAN, AND OVERTURN ALL THE PREVIOUS WINNERS TO BE MORE SOONER-FRIENDLY.

He might be the first pick in the draft, but he's not winning the Heisman.

Troy Smith of Ohio State will.
