I think you should decorate whenever the mood strikes you. It sounds like you enjoy Haloween, so the sooner you put up your decorations, the longer you will have to enjoy them.
Good luck with your Haloween decorating.

I bring the decorations inside in September & start setting things out that are Fall/Autumn related, pumpkins, scarecrows, leaves, etc. I save the bats, witch, etc for October 1st & the outside decorations too. I'm not home for Halloween so I don't decorate too much outside. Living in a mobile home park means small yard, which is fine & easier to decorate. It also means more thefts of the items in the yard. I usually have to replace 1 or 2 items the next year.

Any time you want to. Be advised though, that the longer you leave your decorations out, the more chance of them being pulled apart by the local teenagers. But I would definitely start putting up Halloween decorations 2 weeks ahead of time. Also, use things that can be left up as "Harvest" decorations afterwards...leaf bouquets and sheaves of long grasses.

In my opinion, no earlier than Oct 1st. We usually do about 3 weeks before Halloween.

Do it now, impress the neighbours. In fact, while you're at it, start putting up Christmas Decorations

Apparently if you are Walmart or Target, the beginning of September was as good a time as any... geez, at the rate they start anticipating these holidays, I'm surprised they don't have next year's Easter stuff on display.
