I get that every now and then. Just give it time, you've probably just irritated a nerve. It'll pass. Take a motrin, it'll relax your muscles. Drink some tea and chill out. The more you think about it, the more worked up you'll get.
If it doesn't stop within a few days/a week, seek medical attention.

Twitches like this can come. They're caused by a nerve set off by any number of stimuli. I suggest using a warm compress to cover the eye. A clean wash cloth soaked with hot water out of the tap. Apply it right over the eye and the area twitching. Let the rag cool a bit and not so wet it drips on you. Keep it on until it cools, then reapply the compress until the twitch is gone. I've used this method before for a twitch and it does work for me. Good luck.

sometimes that happens if you are stressed. It may just be a nervous tick. Try laying down with your eyes closed and breathe deeply until you are relaxed. I know it's hard to relax because the twitching is stressful but you need to take your mind off it. If it keeps twitching for another hour- call your doctor.
Good Luck!

My eye used to do this also. It happening because you need more potassium in your diet. Eat more broccoli and bananas. This is weird and not very nice of my mum, but when she saw my eye twitching she would smack my eyebrow . It actually went away then. I know its not at the top of your list of things to do , but its better then having your eye twitch. It used to drive me crazy.

my eye does that from time to time for an hour or so, its just a muscle spasm, dont worry nothing is wrong, well, it shouldnt be anyways. i get them all the time and it is just freakin annoying, stress, lack of sleep can be a cause, try rubbing your muscle around the eye, it wont go away but it will give it relief and help relax the muscle beter

This means you are probably stressed or nervous about something..or your eyes are very tired from reading or staring at something to long...Take a cool cloth, lay down, and put it over your eyes, forcing them to close..this always works for me..Also try anything that's relaxing for you..drink tea, listen to calming music..etc..

your eyes are tired. use a little Visine and lie down for a while with a cold washcloth on your eyelids. It will go away.

Relax... it happens sometimes and is normal...
the sooner you can relax and try to forget about it the sooner it'll go away on its own...
