DENVER (AP) - Neighbors are struggling to come to grips with the gruesome discovery of a woman's mangled body that had been dragged along a paved road through a pastoral subdivision, leaving a long trail of blood and questions.
The last time something like this happened it was to a black man in the south & there was total outrage that it was racist. So be it but who & what organization is going to beoutraged on behalf of this poor woman who is possibly white or hispanic. They can't tell for sure because her body is too badly mangled!

Exactly my point. The Black man's story was national news, due to sooooo many organizations making sure of it, Oprah, etc. Why doesn't this woman deserve the same respect out of something so horrific?? That's just a part of my outrage!!

most women's deaths are not trumpeted. it's sad isn't it? the last time i remember a white woman's death being in the news was a really long time ago... oh wait no it wasn't.
you're nuts... natalie holloway ring a bell? it's because no one knows who she is. there has to be someone for the media to rally around before there is a media circus. james byrd's body was dumped in a segregated cemetary. that is what drew the media.
i can't even find the story you describe... here's a predecessor:

Unfortunately, our attention span today is as such as something as horrible as this just does not sink in like it once did.
Look at what happened in Port Coquitlam, Canada where a pig farmer is charged with over 15 counts of the murder of women (they have found 27 total). They think he fed the dead bodies to his pigs. Where is the outrage with that? People have already forgotten because by the time this guy gets what he deserves, we will already have our attention on something else. We need to start to deal with this type of behaviour to make sure this never happens and not just the outrage it causes when these things happen.

I live in a major city where our own local news is full of horrific goings on .. apparently, our news is so full we don't have time to cover every horrific happening in the U.S. This is the first I have heard about this.
I am shocked! Who the f*ck does such a thing? I have to admit that the article does not lead me to believe that it was racial - not that it makes a difference but I had to put that in there since you were comparing it to the clearly racial killing of the black man a number of years back.

This crime is truely horrific!
The fact that she is white or Hispanic doesn't mean that there can't be a racist motive, because through the years I've learned that racism is to be found among all races, nationalities and ages!

I think the outrage is there now, it certainly is with me. I think at present there isn't enough information available as to who this woman was and who or what group of people commited the crime for anyone to direct their outrage in a particular direction. Once an arrest is made I think you will see plenty of outraged people letting it be known what they think.

Everyone should be outraged.... I hope they can find out who she was and fry the scum who did that to her..
Because she is white or Hispanic , this is not a story the media will pick up.. well if she's Hispanic they might , especially if white people are involved...

I hadn't heard about this. And everyone should be outraged !!! This could be your mother...sister..aunt...or child for God's sake. When are people going to stop the hatred of other races and just be accepting. Whether she was black..white...or green it shouldn't matter....what does matter is She is HUMAN...its that simple. God help those who continue to harm people, because if they are caught, there won't be any help for them in the prison system. There...they will pay their dues.

reading answers all over this site restores my faith in human beings. That simple consideration we have for each other at this low level seems never to make it to the big scene, where everyone turns into s***heads. Whats up with that? oh, there is another question...woops

Yes, I am outraged by this! What kind of lunatic would do something that horrible? Just because it wasn't a racial crime, as far as they know, does not make it any less atrocious.

I am outraged. But do you think this is maybe because our society has come to be used to violence and mayhem?
And why do you think that is?
