Do devices under TL1 use IP addresses or they are just being identified using TID? It is bing said that any device which has TL1 protocol doesn't have and IP address at all. Is it true? then how to connect to that device through programming for sockets? can anybody give me more details?

TL1 is a craft interface language which is typically accessed from a console port. I have heard of providing TL1 via ethernet but it requires a specialized device that terminates concactenated IP traffic on both sides of the network.
