because its the constitution which is the Americana way of life
and because the president is infallible and as such subject to manipulation and it is the duty of the officer to question all orders that directly contradict the declaration of independence and failure to due so would be n act of treason on the part of the officers .
with all that said you might now be able to understand why a soldiers belief in what he or she is doing is extremely important for their survival cause could you imagine the government just stranding an active member of the military in a foreign country well friendly fire does happen and sometime it on purpose .
so why ask why when I only have to do or die

Because the Constitution is what holds this country together not the President.

The President does take an oath. So does every member of Congress and the Supreme Court justices.

Because we defend our country and we give our allegiance to this country. The President is a citizen of that country.

presidents change ( if you swear to the president it wouldn't apply to the next one - but you swear to obey any lawful order - duties of the office- and the President is the Commander in Chief )
