Wisconsin law has been like that for quite some time. A bar/restaurant cannot serve someone under 21, but their parent/legal guardian can.
Married couples can take advantage of this as well when one spouse is under 21.

Yes this is true. As long as your parents are with you or you are married to someone who is 21 years of age you can legally drink. One thing though that person is responsible for you. That means if you got into a car accident because you drove afterwards then they would be responsible.

in a rest or tavern, parents may purchase their children alcohol if the parents remain with them on the premises, there might be a stipulated age for the children(16 0r 18,not sure),same thing at home, family of bar and rest. owners are allowed to tend bar or carry beverages,i think the age is 18.the legal drinking age is 21.

Well I am from MN and used to go to Wisconsin to the bars and you had to be 21 to get in the bar so there for I would assume that if you are under 21 you can not drink either other wise they would let 18+ into the bar. If they won't sell it to a minor why would they let them drink it.

Legal if the server serves it to the parent and the parent gives it to the minor - the parent is able to purchase alcoholic bevs for kiddos.

It's always been that way in Wisconsin. As long as the parent is there they can drink.
